Eligibility Criteria

The following professional can be admitted as the member of the Bar Association:

1. Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council.
2. A member of the Institute of the Company Secretaries of India holding COP.
3. A member of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants of India holding COP.
4. A member of the Institute of the Cost Accountants of India holding COP.

Ordinary Member

The Admission fees shall be Rs.2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only) and there shall be a Subscription fee of Rs.1000/-(Rupees One Thousand Only) to be paid annually.

Life Member

The persons, who are eligible to become ordinary members, may on request and on making the payment of admission fee and the subscription fee as may be decided by the Executive committee from time to time may become life members, provided his request is accepted by the Executive Committee.

Any of the above professionals desirous of enrolling with the membership of the Bar Association shall fulfil the eligibility criteria for membership as below:

1. No insolvency proceedings are pending against him or have not been adjudged insolvent;
2. No investigation or charge sheet is pending for any offence involving moral turpitude;
3. He has not been convicted of a Criminal Contempt by any Court;
4. He had not been found guilty of any Professional Misconduct by a Disciplinary Committee of his respective Professional Regulator Institution;
5. His Certificate of Practice or Licence to Practice has not been suspended by his respective Professional Regulation Institution.
6. He is not in arrears of any amount as prescribed in the Rules and/or Resolution of the Executive Committee.
7. No other proceeding is pending which in the opinion of the Executive Committee is detrimental to the interest of the Association and/or professional fraternity

• The Executive Committee shall, either itself, or through a Sub-Committee authorized by it in this behalf, consider the Application for Membership and admit the applicant as a Member.
• Upon such admission, the Executive Committee shall determine the status of the Associate Members for the purposes of entering into the register of members as to the effect of their type of Membership(ie Ordinary or Life Time)
