Philip Mathew was born in the year, 1953. He graduated in Economics from the University of Kerala in the year,1973 and did Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Calicut in the year,1975. Philip Mathew was born in the year, 1953. Worked for a few years, initially  as a Management Executive at Gwalior Rayons Ltd,Mavoor ,Calicut and later at Killick Noxon Ltd,Mumbai.While at Mumbai, he continued his studies and did his Bachelor of Laws(LLB) in the year,1981 from the University of Bombay and Master of Laws (LLM) in Constitutional Laws from the University of Bombay in the year,1983.Later he also took his Master’s Degree (MA)in Political Science from the University of Madras in the year,1989. He started his practice at Ernakulam in June,1983 after enrolling as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Kerala, in the Chambers of M/s.B.S.Krishnan & Associates, Advocates. Later, he joined the office of Mr.Varghese Kalliath, a veteran civil lawyer and on the elevation of Mr.Varghese Kalliath as a Judge of the Kerala High Court, he set up his independent legal practice along with Mr.K.M.Joseph, who is now a Judge of the Supreme Court. During the legal practice spanning for more than 38 years, he was also a Special Central Government Counsel for commercial cases at the High Court of Karnataka, Bangalore from the year ,2000 to 2003.Again,he was also a Central Government Counsel at the High Court of Kerala,Ernakulam from the year, 2009 to 2011.Delivered lectures  on corporate laws at two seminars conducted by Indo-American Chamber of Commerce in New York, and Houston(USA) in the year,2004 and at Singapore in 2006 conducted by Asia Legal. Also regularly delivered lectures on commercial laws at the in-service refresher courses of Judicial Officers conducted by the Directorate of Training, High Court of Kerala till the year, 2010 and also delivered lectures on arbitration laws at the Government Law College, Ernakulam. Practices mainly in laws relating to corporate and commercial contracts , arbitration and property litigation matters and appears before various Tribunals and authorities in and outside Kerala State including various NCLTs,NCLAT and courts ranging from Munsiff’s Courts to High Courts and occasionally also before the Supreme Court. Now a Senior Partner of the Law Firm, M/s.Philip and Jinan Associates, Ernakulam.

 Jinan K R is practising as an Advocate in Philip and Jinan Associates from 2020 onwards. He was born in Edavanakad, a village in Vypin Island, Kerala on 29th August 1955. While practising as a lawyer, he worked as a part-time Lecturer in S.N.M, College, Maliankara till 1983 and worked as one among the directors in the Managing Committee of Edavanakad Service Co-op Bank till 1988. He was selected as Munsiff In Kerala Government Judicial Service in the year 1989. Later in 2015, after his retirement from the Judicial Service of Kerala as the Chairman of Munnar Special Tribunal, he resumed his practice as an Advocate in the High Court of Kerala. While he was practising as an Advocate, he was appointed as the Member Judge of Kolkata NCLT in 2017 till 2020. Having shared the Judicial chairs for about 30 and odd years, he returned to the legal profession from september 2020 onwards associating with Adv.Mr. Philip Mathew. Some of his core skills include dealing with Labour disputes, Land disputes, Motor Accident Claims, Criminal and Civil disputes and also in Bankruptcy and Insolvency law.

Sivakumar P is an empanelled Arbitrator to the Honorable High Court of Kerala. He is also an Arbitrator on the panel of National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and served as the Public Representative Director of Madras Stock Exchange and its subsidiary MSE Financial Services Ltd (Nominated by SEBI) and also as Director and Chairman (Audit Committee) of Interconnected Stock Exchange of India, Mumbai. He has also served as a member of the Executive Committee of Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a 160+ years’ old chamber. 

He has been actively engaged with the CMA Institute through the Cochin Chapter of Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI (CMA)). He could deliver remarkable achievements for the profession. He served the Chapter as Chairman – Professional Development and Infrastructure Committee, Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Chapter for the year 2012-13. He has been an active member of ICSI not only in Kerala but the entire southern region. He has been the Chairman of the Southern India Regional Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India for the year 2016 and Secretary for the year 2015 and was a member of Editorial Advisory Panel and Expert Advisory Board of the ICSI. He has also served as a Chairman of Kochi Chapter of ICSI for 3 Years.
